rustproofing/street car tuning

Sorry, if you got this earlier. Just got an 87 16v. (woohoo)

1. Anyone have any experience with rustproofing (Ziebart, etc). I can't
afford garage space

2. What modifications make sense for a daily driver car with no racing
ambitions (yet) and in what priority should they be done. I was going to
start with the stress bars?
