[help] Ahh shite...fuel tank leaking

Had a bad Scirocco day yesterday...some coolant
leaking from an unidentified source...felt the
driveaxle flanges and they're loose...found a hole in
the muffler too.

To top it off, some fuel was leaking from just above
the rear axle crossbeam...have not had a chance to
crawl under, but in prep I have some Q's (since I
can't find it in Bentley):

-are S2 tanks/fittings prone to leakage, if so, where
is it common?
-If required, what is the difficulty in dropping the
tank?  Do exhaust and rear crossbeam require removal?

I am going to yank the back seat and look at the pump
pieces & fittings, hoping that the problem is easy...
