Hey ya'll I just spent yesterday hiking around Hugh Jones Salvage yard and
found 3 mark II's and 1 Mark I, plenty of audi's and other VW's.

Description of mark II's
#1 silver, still has all body parts intact, 1 rim. most of undercarrage,
most of motor (8v I think.) body parts not that pretty would require some
bondo.( most glass )

#2 silver. Major accident frame split in front of driver door behind front
shock tower from top to bottom.not much left here to salvage except trim
parts. (8v) i think.

#3 red 88 16v I know cause I got most parts off already. no subframes, no
motor, no tranny. no seats. hood, fenders, rear hatch ok. most glass.


Mark I.

Brown. pinned in at a dangerous angle. driver door and hatch back ok.

directions.

from atlanta
take 85 N to Braselton exit.
take road between Golden Pantry and interstate ( immedately across from
off ramp)
take road till end ( 1-2 mi) STOP. look for highspeed traffic turn left

go down road until you get to Hugh Jones Salvage yard. You cannot miss it
it is on BOTH sides of the road. This is a pick and pull type with cheap
prices.  but the cars are in no grouping. all cars are on the side
opposite the office building.  if you are interseted in specifics I can
give directions inside the yard for anyone. example, I pulled the 16V head
w/ all associated fuel stuff $50.00
block tranny, front struts, rear subframe $150. seats $20.
