MGB V-8 Was Re: (non Rocc) $5k dragster



Actually that Rover V-8 (still in use in all those Range Rovers you pass)
was a 1950's Buick design GM sold to Rover in the very early 1960's, first
went into the original Rover 3500 sedan, then a plethora of other oddball
British machinery such as the Triumph TR-8, and TVR 3500. It is notable for
its longevity (almost 50 years continuous production and still going), and
for being the first mass produced aluminum-block engine.
