I got out of a ticket because I was driving a red Dodge full size van, and
all the cop put on the ticket was "red van"... no owner of vehicle, no make,
model, plate number.....nothing.  I fought and won! yippee!

WEll since my b/f is RCMP... he tells me that they (the RCMP) don't get paid
for traffic court, unless they happen to be on duty.  So if your day in
court is the cop's day off, like he's coming into work on his day off!
Don't know about city forces though.
