RE: Help, with brake hex bolt

A trick that recently floated across the VintagVW and Hooligan Racing lists
involves heating the threads of a stuck bolt as hot as you can, and then
pressing a chunk of paraffin (you know, the wax Grandma used to use to seal
jelly jars) onto the bolt. I guess the wax wicks up the threads of the hot
bolt very well, and often allows you to turn the bolt out very easily. I've
never tried it, but I will be experimenting with it when I pull my exhaust
manifold. I understand that even a propane torch can work for this.
