16V vs 8V pistons

Could someone share with me the difference between the 16V and 8V pistons
and the differences between between the ABA and the 9A blocks in the 2.0
motors.

A couple of us were kicking around the idea of a 2.0 16V "tall" block but we
couldn't remember what happens if you put the 16V head on the 8V
"tallblock".
