Re: H&R springs

I've fitted H&R springs to my GTX, they now have 29,000 miles on them. They
were listed as approx. 30 mm drop and I assume they are intended for all Mk1
types.
At the front there is about 1 1/8" between the top of the tyre and the wheel
arch liner, viewed side-on, and 1" at the rear.
With the car on its wheels, the bottom 3 coils are touching. I jacked it up
to have a look and the powder coating has worn through & there is rust
around the edges. I'm not aware of any clicking from the other coils.
I always seem to find the bump stops squashed up at the top of the shock
absorber piston, and the dust cap rammed down over the strut housing.

HTH,

Stuart
