Re: Startup Hesitation



I had this problem a few months ago, but I can't remember how I fixed it. I
think I just increased the idle speed v. slightly (not noticeable on the
tach). It idles at about 900-1000 rpm. I replaced the injector seals 19000
miles ago, so I don't think that would be the cause in my case.

I now have an intermittent idle problem when the engine is hot. Sitting in
traffic, the idle speed drops & it starts hunting, with the revs going up &
down until it just dies. It's then difficult to restart. Anyone else had
this? The problem is more likely to occur with lights, wipers, rear window
heater etc on.
