improvements

Dear All,

I was wondering if anyone could help me out, I have a 1987 scirocco 
GT, 1.5 litre, carburettor version. I have about 300 pounds to spend 
(about 450 dollars(?)) and I was wondering how to improve the car. 
Basically whats the best thing I could spend the money on? (I already 
have a weber conversion).
