my g60 project was(Re: SV: List ediket!)

its a pain the the friggin ass! sorry man im just
really, really mad with the supercharger, I can't
get the woodruff key out of the main shaft to remove
the displacer, this is really pissing me off. I'm trying
to take pics as i go along rebuilding the block while
it's on the engine stand, and i'll take lots more once
I go to attempt the actual swap. It's also a pain in
the ass trying to completely reassemble all the parts
on the block without a bentley...because my freind who
is suppose to be bringing me one..still hasn't. So I put on
a part, and then realize I have to put on 2 other parts before
that one. hehe, so i take a lot of 'breaks'. plus im painting
everything, including just about every last bolt and nut so
that's taking a while to paint. As soon as i get this stupid
supercharger apart i'll try to port it out. The injectors
are off at marrin motorsports getting cleaned/balanced but
i should be getting those back next week. I still havent
found a suitable intercooler setup either but i'll worry
about that once it's all in. I'm also not looking forward
to dissassembling the whole throttlebody to paint it.

i suppose i'll have to use the existing tranny due to
flywheel clearence on the bellhousing, and the fact I
don't want to buy another tranny untill i break the one
I have. I also have a 16v tranny but its got a broken
driver side motor mount bracket, so when the wide ratio
8v breaks, i'll swap in the 16v gears 1,2,3,4, and see
how long that one will last me =)

Right now i got that damn supercharger in my freezer, hopefully
the cold will cause the metal to contract enough to let me get
that damn key out..else im going to have to grind it down and
then drill it out..then pray one off my blown s/c will come
out to replace it.

umm hey Andre!! guess what they have at my local auto parts
store? Grabber Green high temp (500) pain in a spray cant,
its a wild ass green just like our cars! If I hadn't already
started with ford red heh, I would have used it.

So...im hoping if crap gets done right, and i don't break
something serious, it should be in next month sometime.
and of course there will be a HUGE writeup on my website.
All my local friends actually can't believe i've gotten this
far with the project, heh since ive yet to complete any project
ive ever started..the rieger kit ive never finished, the 2.016v
turbo i never finished, the previous g60 swap i never finished
(although i just say this is the continuation), so ive been
getting jeered pretty bad down here.

ok hrm november may be a little optimistic, I know when i yank
my 1.7l, i'll want to clean out and paint everything in the
engine bay...but i am trying to work a little on it every night

about the ND show..hrm hell, May? who knows if i'll even own
a scirocco by then! heh no seriously I hope not to own my Green
rieger anymore by then but should still have a mk1 in 1 form
or another. but the wife wont go unless we take the Passat, so
i'll just have to see, i will defnitely try to be there and i'll
try to rally up all the people here in texas for a big cruise
up...right Dale?! so the sooner i know the date, the better so
i can make sure we dont plan something big down here.

also while im rambling, can we split the digest version up into
2 per day? i get 2-3 from the corrado list per day and they
are much smaller and easier to read during the day, it's hard
to allocate the large ammount of time needed to read that one
big ass digest.
