'81 S FS (not mine)

I checked this car out for myself...

Here's what I found:

1.6l and 4-spd (from '80 scirocco) with about 120k on it
Mars red (original paint, and in very good shape)
G-Grind cam
A 3" square area of rust in front of the right rear wheel
non-factory tinted glass sunroof
Konis all around (front adjustable)
Front+Rear anti sway bars
15" ATS Rims with bald Dunlops
Neuspeed Short shift kit
Blue Mk1 GTI interior
100mph speedo
Zender front chin spoiler, zender rear wing (nice!)
louvers on rear window (tacky!)
tinted windows all around

It doesn't seem like it's a real S. the grill looks as if it's been painted 
(no stripes around the edge, and the emblem is hand painted)
The pinstripes down the sides look legit, but the dash is woodgrain all 
around (said he changed it from the '80 he bought for the engine).

It's surprisingly quick and handles excellent. He'll probably take $1200.
