will an A2 Jetta twin downpipe replace my 84 8v's loud single downpipe 
"choker"?

Also, my car appears to have had some violence in it's youth.  The core 
support has been welded in too low and the hood won't fit!  How hard would it 
be to cut an old support from a less fortunate junked rocco and slap it into 
my car?
