Re: Replacing Dashboard

>How much of a pain is it to change a dashboard on a mk.2 (how many hrs.

Not a lot of fun, but pretty straightforward. One tip that'll save you a
few expletives - go ahead and take the steering wheel and the stalk cluster
off. For some reason, I got the old dash out without this being a problem,
but it really got in the way when the new dash went in.

Also, be sure to unsnap the rubber belt that wraps around the junction of
the dash ductwork and the blower. And if you're tugging, and it isn't
wiggling, there's probably another bolt you forgot. Pop that cap off the
left inside wall of the glovebox.

Take a whole day, and celebrate if you get done early!
