 According to the news, its a $10 fine. I imagine a plate bracket will cost
me more than that. The crackdown is because people who run red lights, but
don't have front plates, can't be caught by the cameras they are placing in
intersections. 

  But I have been told that some of the mobile radar signs have cameras in
them as well, and will take a pic of the front end of your car if you go
through too fast. So I don't think I'll be putting a plate on anytime soon;)
I am glad I didn't have a front plate, because before I heard those things
had cameras, I was putting some really big numbers up there for laughs:)
I'd have really felt stupid if I got a big ticket for pulling a dumbass
stunt like that...
