Re: Botched Idle!!!



That would be the Auxiliary Air Regulator, and it does allow extra air
into the intake, downstream of the throttle butterfly. 

This is a common cause of idle problems. Replacement, or at least a
thorough cleaning of the part with brake parts cleaner or its
equivalent, is in order.
