uhh i really think that this post has been beaten to death, but i also have 
speeding charges, the thing about the factory brakes and not being a danger 
at 45 mph in a 25mph zone is total bs. especially in a university setting 
like you were in, there are people walking around and other objects that 
could be a danger to you or yourself. i think speed limits were desinged to 
keep the public safe. i'm sure there was a very good reason that the section 
of road you were on was labled at 25mph. also about your comment on the 
braking abilities of your car, you, not unlike many of us on the list suffer 
from a very bad "holier than thou" displacement. you need to sit back and 
look at your speeding offense and realize that someone or something could 
have been hurt, and that is why you got the ticket to begin with.
