I have certainly had my fair share of BS from cops.  I had a WV trooper
add just enough to my speed to make it reckless (got thrown out in court,
btw.).  I had a VA trooper not believe that I had only the factory window
tint on my car becase "you type of people usually have illegal tint
jobs."  (I never know I was that type.  What is that "type" anyway?)  I
have even been pulled over for "driving with my lights on."  (I'm not
making this up!  He actually said that's why he pulled me over!!)  

That said, I have also come across cops who have been helpful.  The one
who helped calm me down when I was hit while driving my dad's Porsche
when I had my liscence for less than two months, for example.  I won't
say that there aren't any cops who are dicks or who abuse their power. 
But try to see it from their point of view.  They are in a profession
which is always associated with something bad.  Everybody thinks the cops
are out to get them.  I just don't see how someone can yell at the cops
for giving them a reckless driving ticket when they were driving
recklessly!  It's not the cops fault you were doing that (this, by the
way, is not directed at anyone.  it's just a statement).  If you're
driving down the interstate at 110 mph and you get pulled over, suck it
up.  It's your own damn fault!  

If you have that much of a problem with cops, go to some country without
any official police force.  Let me know how it is.

Some may be asses, but give 'em a break.  It's a thankless job, but
someone has to do it.  I don't mind getting pulled over occasionally for
some piddly little thing if it means they might actually find someone who
is driving drunk, or otherwise impaired.  Just so long as I don't get a
ticket.  (which, by the way, you are alot less likely to get if you not a
smart ass.)  despite all the times I"ve been pulled over, I've only been
ticketed twice.  One, as I said, was thrown out.  On the other one, the
"Pig" reduced the speed by just enough to get it UNDER reckless driving.
