My '89 GLI 16v donor car does that. When it's cold it bounces, and when it warms up it's got a constant idle.

When I disconnect the idle stabilizer (when cold) the idle evens out at about 1100 or so (a little higher than normal).

Does this point at the stabilizer itself?

BTW- I NEED a Bentley for this Jetta! '89 16v! Someone help!
