Re: quick tire survey

Are you married to all-season tires or on a real limited budget? If not,
spend a little more for the Yokohama AVS Intermediate. \
If you're on a budget, but not worried about wet traction, I would recommend
the Yokohama A509. From first hand experience I can say that you will get
great dry handling and miserable wet traction.
The Dunlop D60A2s are nice tires, but hard and somewhat slippery (treadwear
rating of 320). My mother put them on her Saturn SL2, at my recommendation,
and she is happy with them, but I would not choose them for any car I own.
Or, you could move up to a 195/55-14 and have additional choices of the
Bridgestone Potenza RE71 or the Dunlop SP Sport 8000.

Pirelli P600 MS? Don't bother w/ the P700 b/c they are discontinued in the
185-60-14 size.

with a very slight advantage towards the Pirelli in dry and wet traction,
cornering, steering response and noise. By slight I mean a few tenths of a
point in each category. They are priced about the same as well, so what
matters is performance!
