Last winter I did a coolant flush and put in the texaco orange coolant with
50% water. The coolant gauge is usually covering about the top half of the
red light and the engine temp doen't get above 100 celts, unless I go on the
highway where it stays at 110 celts. The fan has never stayed on after the
car was shut off unless the A/C was on. If I drove only 2 miles the temp was
at 80 celts, and I had the A/C on, the fan will still run when I shut the car
off for like a minute, but lately i notice it staying for 3-5 minutes, and on
a few occasions the fan would stay on for almost ten. But if I were to run
the temp up to full operating temp. of 110 celts without using the A/C the
fan would not stay on. Go figure. Thanks again guys.
