Re: Shift Kit

How much work and what is involved with putting in one of those
autotech or eurosport weighted shifters? I was thinking of getting one
for my 85 8v to make shifting life easier. Does anyone have any
experience with this? Does it involve getting the car in the air or
anything?

Well chris with the help of a list member who did it before, I made my own.
My Brother is an electricion and he brought me home this heavy grade copper
wire that is about an inch thick with a plastic covering. I cut it up in to
three peices and mounted it around the rod with some duct tape, then I took a
couple hose clamps and put it around that. Total cost, about $1.50. And it
really does change the shift feel!! And it took about 25 minutes to do the
job.
