Grinding, Scrapping noise on hard left hand turn what causes this?

When i turn out of a parking spot, u-turn or anywhere where i need to max out 
the steering wheel i get a grinding, scrapping noise from the front end.  
What could this be?  Wheel bearing, cv joint?
