Possibly, a smaller canister will most likely denote less surface area and filter material which equals:  May get plugged easier.   Again, Bosch is best, but I'm certain Fram makes a large canister
type, which would be acceptable as well, as Purolator, if theirs was the larger type.  My cabbie's small one would plug all the time, so I switched to a big one and have had no problems in 2 years.
