Uh oh, Brett looses marks for not paying attention in class.  I believe
jonas is doind a 2.0L, with ported and polished head.
     As for the bang for the buck on a 1.8L, i agree with you (having one
myself), i would never in a million years pay the kind of money RPI asks for
them, they called me up when they got the last one, even though it had
already sold, and it went for over $1000 cdn?  for what, like 3-5 high end
horsepower??  Nutty.

    Driveability is not effected at all though, the only time i ever noticed
the lack of power is when i was cruising at low revs in 5th, forgot to drop
a gear to pass, and floored it, it just didn't have the oomph it used to
down low (not that there was any oomph really).  Does give a nice kick in
the pants up high though, but not 1000 dollars worth.  Mine is a long term
investment though, will be going on a 2.0L soon enough.  and i also was
lucky enough not to have to crawl to RPI and pay that price.
