    Absolutely true, then, use a vac pump to pull down to a 29"+ vac. This
will not only check for leaks it will also evac any moisture possibly left
in the system from being open, etc. Many of the kits include a replacement
refrig oil that allows the use of 134a in a system not completely
flushed/douched out to remove all traces of R12 or its oil.
