Welll I think the 8v went cross-flow in the A3 platform.  16vs were
always cross-flow design, but the manifold bolt pattern is very different
for 8v and 16v.

About anyone should have "solid lifter cams"  get a C-grind or G-grind
CHEAP.  Or splurge and get a Crane xxxx-14 >:)

Audi fuel pressure reg. CAN make you run very rich.  Tuning is a must.
Any bone-yard should yield up this, a throttle-body and a 1.6l vw cam.
