Re: Oh No, problem shifting WOHOO problem found

OK, so I was inspecting the linkage for like an hour having my buddy shift
back and forth and I finally found the problem. There is this large bushing
underneath the car just in front of the Cat. underneath the downpipe. The
picture in the bently does not quite match what I saw on my car, but it
appears to be the main shift rod bearing. Well it was shot and all crumbling
into little pieces and was not allowing the leverage needed to select 1st
gear. I am surprised all the other gears worked. So I temp fixed it by
shoving cloth in the area where the bearing used to be. I just need to
figure out if it is part of the metal bracket or does this bearing/bushing
just pop inand out, does not look to hard to fix though. Thanks for all of
the imput.
