WTF: if it's dead you can't make it any worse!  It shouldn't need much more
than a gentle tap anyway.  Might be worth running a direct feed to the pump
from a battery in case it's not getting enough current or bypass the pump
relay- the soleniod contacts in the relay often don't make good contact
while still giving enough to get a good reading with a voltmeter.

I put a new fuel pump on my 1981 Scirocco when it was in North Carolina
(two months ago).

After getting the car up here, the car has not been starting (the car is
in storage). I checked the leads last night - the pump is getting
"Juice".

The pump appears to have seized - I've heard that you can free it by
"hitting it with a hammer".

Any comments or input????
