sound proofing

hey guys,

i started stripping the inside floors in my project rocco yesterday, i
must have removed about 20 pounds of sticky goop ... i was wondering if
i can get this stuff from the dealer, it looks like a sheet of resin
that is melted into place, two per side. Should i use DynaMat (sp?)
instead? would the noise be unbearable if i didn't reinstall this stuff,
i'm not putting the sand bags back in but i'll probably use the cushion
foam top layer that the carpet sits on.

what should i do with the underside of the floors? i was thinking of
removing all the tar and reapplying it, but i'm not sure if i should
paint the floors and then apply the tar or apply the tar and paint over
it so that it's the same color as the car.
