85' Rocco #12 takes three in a row at Linda's

I know some of the listers have come out to Linda's Speedway in
Lebenon, PA to see the Thunder Car Scirocco, so I'd thought I'd throw
out a report. And I need to brag to someone who would appreciate
this, my wife sure doesn't :^)

My 85 Rocco has taken the checkered flag 4 times in the last three
weeks. I have won three weeks straight, and my co-driver took the
win in the Lady Thunders division.

My teammates have not been so lucky though. Bill Sherwwod,of CSE
fame, has had three bad weeks in his 81 Rocco; 2 sevenths, and a
fifth last night. He blew a motor 3 weeks ago, got 'black flagged'
for ruff riding last week, and bent his rear axle in last night's
heat. We port-a-powered the axle back so the wheel only had about 5
degrees of tow out, and he still was able to pull a 5th in the
feature.

Shane's 81 Rocco is clearly possesed by Satan (or is it Santa???) As
he snapped an outer CV joint in warm-ups. We through in a new half
shaft in time for the heats, which he won. He started the feature in
fourth place, but never completed a lap as one of the damn Mustangs
broke a steering rack in turn three, and you will never guess who he
hit. Yep, pushed the front of Shane's Rocco down about 3 inches ands
back about 4 inches. Time for a new radiator and the frame puller
again.

If you want to see what the cars looked like at the begining of the
season, check out:

Thanks for listening, I feel better now, I love those dirt track
marvels.....
