This is a tough one... One day, my brother came to the house with a mint 
black 16v scirocco... This was before I was a big VW nut. He had test 
driven the car, but never bought it.  I thought it was pretty sweet from 
seeing it.... Later on, a friend of mine got a black 16v, high milage, 
and did some mods to it (full exaust...). It had full leather (which im 
not a fan of) but it looked GOOD. I was gonna buy it. He had it for sale 
for $2600 but I never got around to getting the money. Later on, while 
surfing the newsgroups, I found a FOR SALE add for my current car.  It 
was an 87 16v with 232K on it and a blown tranny.  I had purchased the 
car. It wwas in Jersey, and my dad and I trailered it to my house.  DAY 
1.  First day I had it, I cleaned the car and vaccumned the interior .. 
After that, came many many many mods and all my money just about... Now 
my ride is lowered, euroized (lights, front rabbit euro bumper, etc 
etc....) and looks pretty schweet.

Looks, Speed, Color, and the ability to mod it cheaply.
