couple questions

1. Probably the heater valve that your heater control connects to. It is
in the engine bay in the middle of a heater hose that goes from cylinder
head to firewall (to heat exchanger/core). Check to see if the cable is
attached properly. If it is, the valve is probably bad (assuming the
radiator hoses are hot).

Hi all. Here's my questions

1) My rocco has very little heat. What I do get is lukewarm, or slightly
above. This morning, I let it run to get some heat going (-20 below last
night) about 6-8 minutes or so, I don't remember. Anyway, I got in and
looked at the gauge, and the needle was about halfway up. I thought
"HEAT!
YES!" Alas, it was not to be. I turned on the defroster and not much in
the
way of heat. :( So, I am taking this to mean my thermostat has gone the
way of the dodo. No problem, I have a stat and gasket (plus all hoses, I
figured WTF, only money.) How would a half-wit such as myself find out
for
sure? I remember someone saying something about grabbing a hose to see if
it's warm, but I don't remember which hose. Can someone elaborate for me?

2)The driver's seat on my car was broken when I got it. After much
searching, my dad located one in CA. The seat is from a Wolfie. My '86
isn't a Wolfie, so the pattern isn't the same. The parts car I got last
summer has the sport seats, in the same pattern as my '86. My question
is:
Is the upholstery(sp?) easily switchable? I ask because the driver's seat
in the parts car ALSO was broken, which I'd discovered AFTER I threw it
into my 86 :(
Hopefully it will, then I'll be that much closer to having the interior
finished.

TIA,
