Re: freeze plugs



regarding freeze plugs, the easiest way to remove them is to get a sort of
drift punch or like a rod at least 1/4 dia. at the end and place it by the
outside of the freeze plug and hammer carefully on it, the plug should then
just go into the hole on that end and the othe side will rotate out making is
so you can grab it with pliers or vise grips and pull it out.... to install
the new plug it is easiest to get a socket the same dia. as the plug and use
it to drive it in until it is about flush or a little past the edge of the
block.
