Control arms are DIRT cheap, I just replaced both of mine, don't remember the
cost but it was so minimal it was forgettable.

However - my question is, why?  Auto???  Sounds like it will just get in 
your way.  Howzabout spending that $450 on some cool stuff for your '88?
