You can do it...
Just give youself lots of time (not 2 hrs before the big valentines 
date).

Yoink the seats, and the bottom half of the dash (with the center 
console) for some room.
If the car had AC, check the passenger side of the box for a big ol 
screw holding it down. Either way, disconnect the air tubes and the 
hoses going to the core (put the system on cold first, make sure you 
have a bucket or coffee can to catch the green stuff). There are also 
some control cables to disconnect, too.  If you have AC- youve gotta 
disconnect 2 giant pipes and a wire or two, but I used this oppt'y to 
break it all and throw it out... Go under the raintray and undo the 
bolts holding the box up. go back into the car and wrestle it out.
Once its out, pry off the little clips on the outside. You're bound to 
miss one... swap the cores and re  assemble.

Sure sounds easy, right?
