Re: Re: 16v Cams

Dude, don't sweat it. Cams are gonna totally depend on your driving style.
I mean, people say 268s should only be on race cars, well, how do you drive,
i drive my car on the track (both parking lots dodging the cones, and on the
track) and i drive on the street like i drive on the track. Not all the
time, but if i'm driving fast, then, i'll shift at high rpms, keeping me in
the power band. But if you are the type of person that is scared to take
the car past 6,000rpm, in fear you might blow the engine up, then you'd
probably be better off with some neuspeed cams or something. And hey, think
of the 268 cams as an investment in the future (cause they will kick some
booty with the 2.0L block :). Or if you like your car to appear and run
closer to stock (ie, don't like a burbling rough idle) then same thing, big
duration cams are probalby not for you.
Me personally, i drive my car on the street every day, and in the
summer i race almost every week, so i want a compromise. The race track i
drive on has two really long strates, and lots of sweeping corners (good for
keeping the revs up), so i want something that is gonna make peak power up
high, but at the same time, driving to school or work everyday (depending on
the season :) i don't want something that feels like it will totally stall
everytime i take my foot off the gas.

So there is my schpiel (is that how you spell it??)

So, how do you drive??
