Do you want to remove it intact? If so, just take a sharp knife,
xacto or sheetrock knife, and carefully cut the outside of the
gasket. You may need to go around a few times. With the help
of another person, or two, pull it out. If it hangs up you will
need to trim away more of the gasket. I did this with two other
people and it took about ten minutes.
