Cleaning a 16V head/Used cam install..

Well my never installed 16V head arrived in the mail today (Thanks
EBay)(heavy SOB) and I have some questions on cleaning it. It sat exposed on
a dealers shelf for a couple of years so there is quite a bit of muck and
dirt mixed with a thin coat of oil on the top. I removed all that I could
reach with my fingers and needle nose pliers but it is still too ucky to
install. How do I get rid of this stuff? I dont want to remove the cams now
although when I get the 2.0 block my Euro intake cam will be installed. The
oil and coolant channels are pristine so It wouldnt do me any good to flush
those, but if I just dump oil onto the head it wont remove the dirt..how do I
do this? Compressed air?
Secondly there are some dings in the surface which meets the valve cover,
none that run from the inner wall to the outside but deep enough that I am
concerned, any way to possibly avoid a small oil leak?
When rebuilding small block chevys we used to use a STP clear lube (cant
remeber the name but it had a cotton ball dabber on the cap) on all the
friction parts during assembly, should I remove the cams do that since the
head has been sitting for so long?
Last but not least, I will be putting my Euro intake cam into this head when
I get the 2.0 block and the headwork is done. The cam will have around 3-4K
miles on it, is this going to be a problem with a brand new head? Thanks
all.....
