Re: engine oil leak advice

My first head-gasket job was on a 1.6L. We had the head professionally
rebuilt and ground. The difficult steps incude (but not limited to) removing
the exhaust manifold (rusty bolts) and removing the intake (bolts in very odd
locations). If the exhaust bolts are really rusted, take it to a shop. Try
to remove the exposed bolts before making a decision, they can be a real
pain! Check for warpage. And remember, make no compramise with a good
torque wrench!
Oil leaking from the head-gasket is a rare problem. Check other locations
first! sometimes the exposed gasket collects oils and makes a visible line,
this has and continues to happen to me.
