Cruise Contrl Removal

  i was wondering if anyone ever attempted (or had) removed a cruise
control system from a manual scirocco. there is the '84 wolfsberg that
i've been talking about and it has cruise control. i would like to get
this if it'd work on my '86. i don't know what i'm getting myself into,
so if anyone could help shed some light on this, i'd greatly appreciate.
(a speedy reply is requested as the car is destined to be mashed in a
