16v Axle sizes! help!

List,
	Yesterday when I went to pickup a set of axles for my scirocco I
found that there are 2 different sizes!
	Here they are:

(left and right set)	part #: 5419
			part # 5420	3.935" Inner Housing (this converts
to 99.949mm) 100mm inner CV?!?!
	
(left and right set)	part # 5413	
			part # 5414	3.680" Inner Housing ( this converts
to 93.472mm)  90mm inner CV?!?!

	Could it be that the parts store is just too retarded to know that
VW CV's come in 90mm and 100mm flavors, and thats 	what this whole
ordeal is between? Or is this something changed during the 86 production
year? any help is 	apprecciated. Thanks,
