I always thought the DX button made it worse.  Never used it.

As far as I heard, the original radio in my '84 was a blaupunkt.  Here in
Boston they were the most commonly stolen OEM car radios for years, and
that was supposedly the reason.  Mine was grabbed in '87, my girlfriend's
in '88.

Of course I believe nearly everything I hear.
