Performance Cooling Questions

>From lurking in this mailing list I have come to the conclusion that Sciroccos
tend to run a little bit warm. This is understood, and I can live with this,
but I would rather do something so that my Scirocco does not run too hot.

To start, I would really like to get a lower temperature electric fan
thermostat. I know they have to exist somewhere, but the question is where.
The few local places I have asked looked at me like I have a two heads when I
ask for one. One guy said "I guess they could exist, but I don't have any". So
does anyone out there know where I could find one? I would prefer not to wire
it to the ignition or to a switch. I just hope I can get my hands on a lower
temperature electric fan thermostat, can anyone help me find one?

Next, a little less important, and a little more long term I would eventually
like to replace the original radiator. Is there a better radiator out there
that will fit into my Scirocco? Do performance replacement radiators exist? Is
there another VW out there that has a better radiator then my Scirocco that I
should get my hands on?
