Problem still not solved

Hey all,
So I changed my transfer pump in attempt to fix my cars problem of losing
power too soon. Well it didn't fix anything and now I have another idea. I
was looking through the Bentley at the problem diagnosis in the fuel
injection section and noticed that for the problem of "low power" it said to
check the coolant temp sensor. I looked at the sensor and it loos like it's
just held on with one nut. Anything I should know before attempting to
change it? I have another sensor sitting on my old 1.8 block and figured I
could just use that one. I assume there is no difference between the 2.0 and
1.8 coolant temp sensors. So what do you all think? easy swap, and it can't
hurt to try?

Thanks,
