Both of my roccos will exceed 130 mph...........I do not believe this is unusual for modified 2.0 16v roccos.
by the way, both have supersprint systems (not suggesting supersprint is the reason).  Mods such as cams
, fuel enrichment, recurved distributor, and close ratio 4th and 5th gears should get you into the 130 plus.
