I tell you what dan- I do not cherish the idea of doing that again- I thought
getting the injectors out was tough. getting them in was even harder.

I replaced 5 emissions hoses, the spark plugs, a bunch of vaccuum lines, the
air filter, the oil filter, the oil, the injector seals, tightened the power
steering lines, sealed a power steering fitting, cleaned the air meter,
cleaned the dist cap and rotor, checked the vaccumm advance, checked the
throttle body.. checked the air meter... what else- improved the dent in the
spoiler. yeah.

it runs better. it has lost the high rpm skip it had. it still does not want
to start though. the best news is that the idle has dropped from ~1400 rpm to
~900 rpm. this is good. the bad news is that the vaccuum readings have
DROPPED. what the hell- it is only pulling about 8.5-9 inch HG. it was at like
10-11 in. HG. it should probably be 18 in HG.

any ideas on the vaccuum/not wanting to start deal?

I am going to hose off the motor (I am friggin' filthy) and check the timing-
if the timing is okay, then I guess play with the mixture a bit. also, I have
a timing belt to put on yet, and I noticed that the lower engine mount is
history, which means the pass side mount is probably history too. joy. at
least then the vibes will be less.

anyways
