You're getting way too serious in your elder years.I think it has something
to do with the emotional scars you incurred when Jason beat ya in that race
after Waterfest. ; )

I figured the coil as I stated originally. It was just strange that both
coils I had lying around would be dead. And, if it's the coil, why would it
die at idle and not under load?

Umm, tested the wire shielding with water being sprayed on em in the dark
and looking for little blue (in my case orange) sparks. Then for overall
resistance from the inside of the dist cap to the end of the wire.
Resistance was pretty low IMO, 5kOhms each. Maybe not too technical, but
it's what I do. How else can you tell?
