1975 Sciroccos (U.S) came with voltometers (no oil temp gauge). I don't
know if '76 models had 'em, but 1977 models had oil temp in place of
voltometers.

My '86 8V had a stock VDO voltmeter, my '88 16V has a stock VDO oil temp.
Go figure :)
