Where to wiegh your car

A recent email wondered if it was possible get the weight of your car at a
truck station, I assume out on the hiway. 

I'd always went to the scrap metal/ recycling yards. Most that operate on an
industrial level weigh your car/truck coming and going and subtract the
difference. 

Should be able to get a gross weight for free or a nominal fee.
